SMS Communications Consent
This addendum describes the terms governing SMS and text message communications sent through the GuestPass Plus platform, including verification messages, transactional alerts, and marketing communications.

1. Overview
GuestPass Plus uses SMS (Short Message Service) text messages to provide essential services, including phone verification, guest pass notifications, and, with your consent, marketing communications from clubs that use our platform.
This SMS Communications Consent Addendum ("SMS Policy") explains what messages you may receive, how to manage your preferences, and your rights under applicable laws including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
By providing your phone number and using the GuestPass Plus services, you agree to the terms of this SMS Policy. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
2. Your Consent
2.1 Express Written Consent
By entering your phone number during the guest registration process and completing the SMS verification step, you provide express written consent to receive text messages from GuestPass Plus and the club or venue you are visiting.
2.2 What You're Consenting To
Your consent covers:
- Verification codes to confirm your phone number and identity
- Guest pass delivery and check-in confirmations
- Important updates about your visit or registration
- Marketing messages from the club (only if you opt in separately)
2.3 Consent is Voluntary
Providing consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. However, phone verification via SMS is required to complete the guest registration process, as it helps clubs verify guest identity and maintain the security of their facilities.
2.4 Authorization to Send
You authorize GuestPass Plus, on behalf of participating clubs and venues, to send text messages to the phone number you provide using automated telephone dialing systems or an artificial or prerecorded voice, as applicable.
3. Types of Messages
You may receive the following types of SMS messages:

3.1 Verification Messages
When you register as a guest, we send a one-time verification code to confirm that you have access to the phone number you provided. This code expires after 10 minutes and can only be used once.
3.2 Transactional Messages
After verification, you may receive transactional messages related to your guest visit, including your guest pass, check-in confirmations, and important updates about your registration or event.
3.3 Marketing Messages
Marketing messages are only sent if you expressly opt in during the registration process by selecting the marketing consent checkbox. These messages may include:
- Membership offers and promotions from the club
- Special events and programs
- Exclusive discounts for guests
- Invitations to return
You can opt out of marketing messages at any time without affecting your ability to receive transactional messages.
4. Message Frequency
4.1 Verification Messages
Typically 1 message per guest registration. Additional codes may be sent if you request a new code or start a new registration.
4.2 Transactional Messages
1-3 messages per guest visit (pass delivery, check-in confirmation, any visit-related updates).
4.3 Marketing Messages
If you opt in, you may receive up to 4 marketing messages per month from each club you visit. Message frequency may vary based on the club's communication preferences.
5. Costs and Charges
Message and data rates may apply.
GuestPass Plus does not charge you for SMS messages, but your mobile carrier may charge standard message and data rates depending on your plan. These charges are your sole responsibility.
If you have questions about your text messaging plan, please contact your wireless carrier.
6. How to Opt Out
6.1 Opting Out of Marketing Messages
You can opt out of marketing SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any marketing message you receive
- Contacting the club directly to update your preferences
- Emailing us at privacy@guestpassplus.com with your phone number and request
6.2 STOP Command
When you text STOP to any message, we will send you a confirmation message and remove you from marketing message lists. You will no longer receive marketing messages unless you opt in again.
6.3 Transactional Messages
You cannot opt out of receiving verification codes or essential transactional messages related to your guest registration, as these are necessary to provide the service. If you do not wish to receive any SMS messages, you may choose not to complete the guest registration process.
6.4 After Opting Out
After opting out, you may still receive:
- Verification codes if you start a new guest registration
- Guest pass delivery messages
- Essential updates about active registrations or events
7. Carrier Information
7.1 Supported Carriers
SMS messages are supported on all major U.S. wireless carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular. Carrier coverage may vary.
7.2 Carrier Liability
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to network conditions and carrier policies.
7.3 Technical Requirements
To receive SMS messages, you must have a mobile device capable of receiving text messages and an active wireless service plan that includes text messaging.
8. Privacy and Data Use
8.1 How We Use Your Phone Number
We use your phone number to:
- Send SMS messages as described in this policy
- Verify your identity during guest registration
- Provide customer support if you contact us
- Share with the club you are visiting for their guest records
8.2 Data Sharing
Your phone number is shared with clubs you visit so they can maintain guest records and contact you about your visit. We also share phone numbers with Twilio, our SMS service provider, for the sole purpose of sending messages.
8.3 Data Retention
We retain your phone number as part of your guest profile until you request deletion. SMS message logs may be retained for compliance and troubleshooting purposes.
8.4 No Selling of Phone Numbers
We do not sell your phone number to third parties. Your phone number is used only for the purposes described in this policy.

9. TCPA Compliance
GuestPass Plus is committed to compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and related regulations:
- We obtain express written consent before sending marketing messages
- We honor all opt-out requests promptly
- We maintain records of consent as required by law
- We do not send messages outside of appropriate hours (8 AM - 9 PM recipient's local time)
- We provide clear identification of the sender in all messages
- We include opt-out instructions in marketing messages
Clubs using our platform are responsible for ensuring their use of SMS messaging complies with applicable laws and our Acceptable Use Policy.

Text HELP to any message number to receive help information, including a link to this policy and contact information.
10.2 Contact Support
If you have questions or issues with SMS messages, you can:

- Contact the club you visited directly
- Reply HELP to any message for assistance
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this SMS Communications Consent Addendum from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via SMS or email where appropriate.
Your continued receipt of SMS messages after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
